Basic Information & Warranty

Masonite and Hardwood Doors are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and warpage for a period of one year, provided they are sealed within 10 days of delivery. They MUST be sealed on ALL SURFACES, including top and bottom.

Handling Instructions:

Doors should not be delivered to job site or installed until concrete floors, foundations and plaster or dry wall have dried.

Doors should be stored flat on a level surface in a dry, well-ventilated building. Keep the doors covered but allow for air circulation.

Handle carefully with clean gloves and do not drag doors across one another or across other surfaces.

Doors should not be subjected to abnormal heat, dryness, humidity or drastic changes of these conditions. They should be allowed time to acclimate to the average existing conditions of the area before installation.

Warp shall not be considered a defect unless it exceeds 1/4" in the plane of the door itself. Warp shall include bow, cup and twist and shall be measured by placing a straight-edge, taut wire, or string on the suspected concave face of the door at any angle. The measurement shall be at the point of maximum distance between the face of the door and the straight edge, taut wire or string.

Finishing Instructions:

Doors finished primed should be carefully wiped clean and finished with two coats of top quality oil-base or latex paint.

To properly seal and finish doors, use a high grade product and apply in strict compliance with the manufacturer's specifications.

All ends must be sealed before hanging.

Doors should be finished on both sides before hanging or immediately after hanging.

Doors should not be allowed to remain unfinished when hung, nor should one side be finished when the other is not.
