Sales Policies

PAYMENTS	Payments are to be made to Interior Trim & Supply Inc., 7257 Bonnyshire Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416. Payments will be applied to the oldest invoices first.
TERMS	Cash customers pay upon receipt of material. Credit accounts due on the 10th of the month. 1½% per month service charge on balance over 30 days.
COLLECTIONS	No account with an outstanding balance over 30 days will be sold. Slow paying accounts will be turned over to collection agencies.
FREIGHT	The customer is responsible for all freight and handling charges. UPS charges are prepaid and added to the invoice; common carrier charges are "Collect" unless other arrangements are pre-approved.
RETURNS	Approval Returns are limited to stock merchandise and must have prior approval from Interior Trim & Supply, Inc. Charge Merchandise approved for return is subject to a 20% re-stocking charge. Freight The customer is responsible for freight charges on all returns. Condition Merchandise returned for credit must be in good, sellable condition. Custom orders and parts that have been modified in any way will not be approved for return. Fittings must be in original box. Time Returns must be made within 90 days of the purchase date.
DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE	Interior Trim & Supply, Inc. will replace any defective merchandise at our expense. Credit is limited to defective material only. No credit can be given for labor or finishing.
SPECIAL ORDERS	Orders for special or custom parts are non-cancelable once production has started. A 50% deposit is required on all special and custom orders before production can begin.
PRICES	This list supersedes all other price lists and is subject to change without notice.
RETURNED CHECKS	There will be a $25.00 charge on all checks returned from the bank.
HALF NEWELS	Half newels of our turned products are available at 60% of the price of full newels.
HEARTWOOD AND SAPWOOD	In some wood species the difference between heartwood and sapwood is more pronounced than in others. This is especially true in such woods as cherry and walnut. When we establish a sales price, whether it is for stock products or custom work, we anticipate using both the heart and sapwood. As such, you should expect to see some natural color variation in the product you receive. If the job is to be finished with a clear or natural stain, you should be aware of the possible variation in wood color that may result. If this variation is not acceptable please let us know in advance and we will quote your job from all heart material.
WOOD MOVEMENT	Wood movement naturally occurs as temperature and humidity changes. All hardwoods should be sealed on all sides to help slow or minimize this movement. Avoid storing wood products in moist or extremely dry areas.
CUTTING HANDRAIL	We make every effort to provide you the handrail lengths you specify. If we do not have the exact length you order, we will either cut rail to the length you need or send you the next longer length that is available. In instances where rail cannot be cut and we must ship the next longer length, you will be billed for the amount of rail that is actually shipped. We have established guidelines related to cutting handrail. For information on these guidelines, please contact your salesperson.
BROKEN CARTONS	At Interior Trim and Supply, Inc. we do not charge extra for broken cartons.
